Saturday Songs and MC4D Update
i thought about how there are a couple songs i like whose names and central themes are saturday. after looking into it, apparently there’s a playlist’s worth of songs i love that follow this recipe.
here it is arranged on youtube.
the playlist begins with
patricia taxxon’s lazy saturday sun chill vapor loop from patty, kinda wishin it was longer to compensate for how much of the song is a fade in but its still comfy while it lasts
chicago’s saturday in the park this song contains what very well may be my favorite chord progression i’ve ever heard. i oughta study it. there’s not a song on this playlist that sounds more like saturday to my ears
de la soul’s a roller skating jam named “saturdays” watch the music video for a bit, i think you ought to see this. good? ok anyways i really want to go roller skating, de la soul doesnt miss.
1 trait danger’s saturday’s for the boys this song might’ve been the reason i made this playlist. it’s a funny song. i like this song.
alexander o’neal’s saturday love incredibly catchy chorus. i struggle to find the words for how much i adore his production style, shoutout to jimmy jam for some of the best drum programming from this era.
ludacris’s saturday this music video also kicks ass, i had to listen twice to hear it but i can confirm there’s some real motherfucking saturday vibes right here
yo-yo bingo’s saturday yo-yo bingo’s saturday relies heavily on chicago’s saturday which it repurposes for faster paced footwork action. notice how your body feels as you listen to this piece of music. enjoy yourself.
i hope you’re enjoying your saturday!
Update on Of Reverence
firstly, i offer my apologies.
i have lost my NEET superpowers so i am unfortunately unable to guarantee a finished publication of the 001 issue of Media Creation for Dogs by the year’s end. who knew that taking classes in an institution of learning would detract from one’s ability to pursue personal projects of interest? i knew. it was me!
while im not making this year for the finished second issue, 001, i intend to have some introductory material on our new artists published by mid-Nov, it may end end up being a rolling release where i publish a piece on each artist individually as i create them… fuck it, who knows!?
very big plans and insane talent on display in this upcoming mc4d. the theme is “how did you do that?” so if you’ve an interest in how creative people do the things they do, umm… stay tuned !!! plug the website into your RSS reader or whatever. i want to be practicing piano!! goodbye.
